Review on Chantal Stainless Steel Classic Teakettle by Danielle Rogers

The whistle is great! My husband and I really hear it

The whistle is wonderful! My husband and I really. The kettle is wonderful on our stove. UPDATE 1: It's been about a year and I'm so disappointed. The interior of our Red Enamel Chantal has a "lining” that goes nowhere: Premium "Broiler” enamel lining provides added durability for long-lasting performance. Today I discovered that this inner surface is crumbling. There is a hole at the bottom, a dead point that is still eroding and falling into the water! How can any company make an $84 kettle from materials that won't last a year! In fact, this fairing should never collapse, just like any interior they use. We need a loud whistle so I'm trying a stainless one because it doesn't seem to have that coating on the inside. I wanted the interior of the porcelain or enamel to be free of the nickel found in stainless steel. Maybe I'm just looking for a good copper kettle. I don't know what they mean by "broiler enamel lining". I know this - neither my husband nor I deserved to have those "fodder" particles in our tea. By the way, we treated our red-enamelled Chantal like a piece of gold. It has never been abused and looks like new. The red enamel looked so pretty on my black glass stove top and we have red pots/pans. I recommend ------> Premium "Broiler" enamel coating provides extra durability for long-term performance <-------- for health reasons. A typical product nowadays is "Made in China”. Buyer Warning.
