I have read many reviews on various websites about the Bose 700 NC and 700 UC and the Bose Link dongle. I bought a Bose 700 NC, a version that didn't come with a pre-paired bluetooth dongle. I've used the headset with my Windows 10 laptop for Microsoft Teams meetings as well as GoToMeeting and it has worked well overall, but I was most curious if I would get an even better Microsoft Teams experience if I bought the dongle. So I bought this USB dongle from Bose and my first impression when it arrived was $70 for this little USB dongle that came packaged in tiny brown recycled cardboard. But now that I'm using it, I have to say that it offers the best overall experience. It glows purple when installed on my computer signed into a Microsoft Teams account. I can now mute/unmute my audio in Teams meetings by holding the touch controls on the right earbud. It's also nice to have a Bose 700 connected to my PC and iPhone at the same time. The call quality on my Teams calls seems excellent and overall I'm very happy with the Bose 700/USB combo. Unfortunately, we'll have to buy a separate $70 USB dongle to have a mute button on the headset, or buy the 700 UC, which is more expensive than the NC version anyway, to cover the price point.
