Review on 🌊 Waterproof Temperature Indicator - Extech TM20 Review & Specifications by Henry Brown

The alarm feature is totally useless - lots of frustration and a huge waste of money

If you're looking for a device that will alert you when the temperature is out of range, keep looking. Other than my 100% regret about this purchase, I have more regrets that I waited over 30 days to try it and now I can't return it. 1) 24 hours after I removed the plastic thing that activates the battery, the low battery indicator came on. For real? Is the battery only enough for one day? 2) The device is not intuitive at all. You can never program it without the supplied booklet. 3) I bought this product to warn me if the freezer stopped working and after programming, once I took the probe out of the freezer, an alarm sounded - once. It beeps once, up to 1 minute, and then is silent forever. This "feature" is described in the instructions, but it wasn't in the product listing when I bought it. So if the freezer runs out while you're at work, you'll never know. What is this alarm function for? If I could spend 24 hours a day next to the freezer I could just look at the light to see if it was on or not. If the product description in the listing says this unit only fires once, I would never buy it. At least now you have been warned.
