The device was integrated into the Audi S4 and I managed without much trouble - I used crimp connectors to bridge between the wiring harness supplied with the radio and the CRUX component. When I originally used steering wheel controls, the left scroll wheel changed channels to XM, terrestrial radio, and tunes to media. The right scroll wheel changes the volume, just like the original radio. About two weeks later, I accidentally changed the function of the left and right scroll wheels, apparently by clicking the scroll wheels, with the left scroll wheel changing volume and the right scroll wheel appearing to change Bluetooth volume. The CRUX online information does not cover this reconfiguration and there is no contact information for technical support. The component gets five stars for replicating the original controls, but drops to three stars for undocumented features.
