A great value product that can be used all year round. My top of the dashboard gets very hot in direct sunlight, even with tinted windows. While many covers protect against this, there's a reason my cars are usually white or silver, and that's because I don't use my private garage, instead parking in my driveway. Bright or reflective colors cool the car in the sun. I know from experience that my first car was yellow, but I painted it dark blue because I didn't like the color, it didn't have air conditioning and I used to bake in it in the summer. However, I noticed that my mom's white station wagon was much cooler. Since then I've never had a really dark car, even with air conditioning, just getting in the car can get hot until it cools down. This has another advantage: in winter there seem to be more days with freezing rain than with snow. I already broke the windshield wipers because I forgot to detach them. In the past, many car wipers simply got stuck. The motors of my and many newer cars have such high torque that they can bend or tear the windshield wiper bracket or just rip off the rubber brushes.
