Good stone, no mat
Good stone. However, the kit did not come with a non-slip mat. The base is solid - something like fiberglass reinforced plastic. Seems to last a long time. It comes with through holes for attaching to a bench. This stone is 600 grit. I've only used it for edge reprofiling and it removes metal surprisingly quickly. It leaves a nice scalloped edge that I can use to shave my arm hair.
