3 inch helmet fits my Specialized helmet perfectly but doesn't reach the claimed 80% wind tunnel results. I would say they can reduce wind noise by 10%. Earplugs may work better. Interestingly, I ordered a second set of 4" for my brother's helmet. The design was a bit different and I found it went against the instructions to put them on backwards which resulted in them sticking out further than my ears and a lot worked better.You can get better noise cancellation by stretching your finger to the side and in front of your ear.When I ordered them on the company's website, they gave me a $5 discount.
