Review on πŸ”§ PRILINE PETG 1KG Filament - Ensuring Dimensional Accuracy for Additive Manufacturing Products by Richard Cuneo

Prints easily and beautifully

It was very easy to print. I literally succeeded on the first try (first time with PETG). I have an anet a8 with a few updates (including the body). I didn't notice any warping in the corners at all. I set bed temp to 80, extruder to 240 and fan to 25%, layer height 0.28mm, speed 60mm/s, wall thickness 1.2mm, infill 20% and 10 edges. For gluing I use a metal plate coated with hairspray. I've seen a lot of different tactics, but to be honest if you want reliable printing, go to the nearest store and buy a cheap, very strong, odorless spray. In fact, it's just a can of PVA. Because it's cheap, it doesn't care for your hair, so it's good for printing. I noticed some stretching near the small openings, this can be corrected by slowing down the speed and/or increasing the cooling a bit. I will update if I find better settings. The filament is not only easy to print, but also feels very strong. Despite the expensive price compared to ABS, it's probably worth it. It warps less and smells less. In terms of tolerances, it performed surprisingly well (considering the high layer thickness and high speed): prints were within +/- 0.001 for a 0.5 inch thick part and +/- 0.004 for a 0 .5 inch thick part withstand . Part 2 inches thick in the XY plane. My z-tolerance tends to be worse (usually +0/-0.006) and matched that. That being said, I'm an ME student and built my printer very carefully, your mileage will surely differ. I have not received any compensation for this review.
