My original Mighty Mule gate opener antenna typically required you to be within 35 feet of the antenna in order to function. Some days he wasn't working at 15 feet. I live on a farm so the house is 440 feet from the gate. With this antenna and cable I was able to mount it above the control box and on the side. The remote can now open the gate from inside the house which is 440 feet from the antenna and gate. This is a significant improvement in range.
