This product is a difficult sell - difficult to determine from the description alone its true purpose. What it does in the real world is a smart combination of a proprietary screen-sharing platform (Realtek AirFun) and good old Miracast (or Wi-Fi if you prefer). These two technologies help do two things: a setup where laptops (or other devices) can share their screen individually, with a presenter controlling the display. The downside of this technology is that each user has to install the app, but it's a one-time thing and once installed it never gets in the way. With reliable Wi-Fi, the results were incredible — screen sharing with virtually no quality loss and minimal latency. This is irrelevant for presentations. The second supported technology is (as mentioned) Miracast. This means that most current generation Android devices can work wirelessly as they are built into the Google operating system. With this you can also see that there is no iOS support. However, the collaboration mode in the meeting room is either Windows or Mac. Defects? The manual doesn't mention how to change the default password, so anyone who connects to the device with the nScreenShare software can become an administrator.
