This was the best option for me as my boards don't have fins. If your board has a fin lock, that's much better! But they do their job. I left them in my car for about 2 months when I was traveling with my boards and the interior lock was a bit rusty and difficult to turn and also insert the key. They still work, just a little sticky now. For a saltwater product they should have used a stainless steel internal lock in my opinion. Also, the Kys are very small, I haven't found them anywhere else to get more and you only get two. I think three would be nice, but maybe I'm getting too picky
