Long term review of bed and tailgate accessories

This was the best option for me as my boards don't have fins. If your board has a fin lock, that's much better! But they do their job. I left them in my car for about 2 months when I was traveling with my boards and the interior lock was a bit rusty and difficult to turn and also insert the key. They still work, just a little sticky now. For a saltwater product they should have used a stainless steel internal lock in my opinion. Also, the Kys are very small, I haven't found them anywhere else…

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Some minor issues

They are suitable for the body and torso. Accessories

belts are slippery. They don't "grab" like other cam locks and have a somewhat silky feel. You need to pull hard and engage the lock. As soon as I figure it out, they work. I like the durability. The straps have a silky feel but I think they will hold up over time. The locks are occasionally a bit fiddly to lock/unlock. It's like a steering wheel that needs to be turned a little to turn the ignition key. Once you get these things right, they will work. However, I find them overpriced. I have…

Thoughtful design

Worked great on a 3000 mile trip with four large paddle boards on the roof. The buckles adhere well to the shoulder straps and the locking mechanism works smoothly. I was worried that the straps would be too stiff and the cables might kink, but that's not the case. The thickness of the straps gives them some cushioning which seems to reduce vibration and therefore wind noise. The underside of the buckles are completely flat and covered in rubber to prevent damage to my boards (I paired them…

Good belt! Best accessory for truck bodies and tailgates

I have purchased Kanulock 13' strap. So far I've used them twice with no problems traveling a total of over a hundred miles at around 80mph. The straps are soft and very flexible, making them easy to manipulate when attaching surfboards to car roof racks. I also like the soft rubber padlock cover that protects my car's roof from scratches. I did find that I had to pull quite hard to get the straps through the locking mechanism, but that doesn't bother me. When tying down surfboards, be aware…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers

GREAT SECURITY STRAP

These are really great straps. I bought a lasso lock and was having some trouble with it so I decided to give it a try and I'm SO glad I did. What I really like is that you still have to moor the boat. So why not add some extra security? The straps are thick, flexible, soft on my kevlar boat, and easy to use. I would check the kanulock website first so you can figure out what length to order. Also, long straps are wider than short ones. I bought longer straps because I decided it was better to…
