Review on 8ft Kanulock Lockable Stainless Steel Tie Down Straps with Reinforced Design by Firman Harrington

These are really great straps. I bought a lasso lock and was having some trouble with it so I decided to give it a try and I'm SO glad I did. What I really like is that you still have to moor the boat. So why not add some extra security? The straps are thick, flexible, soft on my kevlar boat, and easy to use. I would check the kanulock website first so you can figure out what length to order. Also, long straps are wider than short ones. I bought longer straps because I decided it was better to make them a little longer than too short. And I like the wider straps. Some people have mentioned additional keys, but you can get them through the Kanulock website. And I have 2 keys, so if you lose one you can also order a new key so you always have a backup. The straps are very easy to use and the straps stay tight. I just drove 6 hours to the Apostolic Islands and the belts were tight. One person mentioned that they tended to relax after a few trips. But that can happen with any belt. And you should still check your belts regularly to verify this. The only minor complaint is that the strap can sometimes snag when you pull it through the buckle so you have to make sure the straps aren't twisted etc. But overall I HIGHLY recommend them. Conscience is worth it!
