Can't give 1/2 stars? I installed this product on my 2007 Toyota Tacoma. The product was easy to remove with the original cap. For me personally, this is the end. Product/Accessories - The kit includes a latch/camera connected to a wire harness (camera/video stream) that leads to a quick connect connector. There is another much longer cable with a quick connect that extends the RCA to the CD receiver. Current flows through the built-in fuse and ground wire. To install, you need to tie the power wire to the reversing lights (red/white wire behind the left rear light) and then ground it under the bed. I first tied to the ground that went to the taillights, but after that didn't work I fitted an o-ring and wired it to the post below. I routed the video cable to the receiver. I have a Pioneer head unit so I had to bind the receiver to the reverse lights so that it turns on the camera when I turn it on backwards. did this. The head unit shifts when reverse gear is engaged, but no image is displayed. I think the camera is not getting power but I don't know how or what to check. I double and triple checked every connection from the latch to the receiver. I've followed all the instructions but haven't seen the image on my screen yet. The product looks well inserted in my back door. I read that I didn't need to rebuild my truck to install it, but that was wrong. I had to drill a drain hole to insert the quick connector. Otherwise I felt the installation was easy and no more difficult than I expected. I was thrilled to put it in reverse and see the view in my cockpit, but it didn't happen. Unfortunately, it's only getting worse. After installing, testing, rechecking, testing, etc. I left him alone and hoped to fix it the next day. That evening I found information about the company on Facebook and sent them a message asking for their help. The one who answered said maybe I had a bad camera. He gave me an email address and told me to email and they would get back to me on Monday. (SEE SCREENS). From that moment on, all communication became impossible. When I tried to fix it the next day, I tried to check the built-in fuse. I don't know if it blew up, but it broke when I pulled it out. The fuse didn't have a number so I have no idea which amp fuse I had to use to replace the built-in one. I texted them again on FB and asked for the backup. No Answer. I wrote an email and waited. No Answer. I have sent the email again. No Answer. Oh, but it keeps getting worse. While waiting for an answer. I had an accident (rear window hacking) and my truck was in the shop for two weeks. When I got my truck back I decided I had to return the latch and buy another. I wanted to return the bar and it was too late! So I still have the latch and am hoping I can find the right help to get it working. I don't think I have a bad camera because the product has such good reviews. I knew I was taking a risk by not going to a dealer like Crutchfield, but this one seemed to be the most recommended in all the forums I've read, and in theory the installation was easy. In general, the product looks like an OEM. The setup is theoretically easy. The customer service was so bad that I didn't have positive feelings about the product. If I can fix this, my feelings will change.
