Review on Dayco 89322 Belt Tensioner by Jazz Rajasingam

This tensioner was difficult to install but works great. The only problem is that this didn't solve my problem and I'm posting this to let others know that this doesn't prevent the belt from rattling, it just helps a little. Why does the belt hum when the A/C compressor clutch engages? This pulley is a type of one-way clutch that locks in one direction and spins freely in the other. This helps reduce wear and tear on the belt and accessories by allowing them to rotate freely when braking. Don't buy anything based on this information alone, do your own research before you buy anything. My tensioner went bad so it still had to be replaced so this is a great product and I will definitely be buying more DAYCO products!
