UPDATE: I used it to take the pan out of the oven and the heat seemed to go right through the pads of my paws and burned my finger! It feels like I took the pan without anything. Right now I'm afraid to use them for anything hot. Really disappointed and overwhelmed that they don't even perform their basic functions! A little disappointed in them. I loved this concept but when I got them I realized they weren't very well made. On the one hand, the thumb is very small (I have small hands anyway) and the seams wobble. Additionally, I was disappointed that they are a bit clunky and bulky when packed. Good concept, not so good execution.
