When I got the new starter I was surprised that the bendix gear was much smaller than the OEM part. At first I was disappointed and thought I would have to replace the starter. Since I was already knee deep in the project, I decided to give it a try and to my great surprise it worked. And it works much better than the original. Starts the engine much faster, saving battery power and starting the generator effortlessly. Very happy! The seller should have mentioned this in the description to save people the hassle of the hard way.
