This wire aerator works as described and really enhanced the flavor of our wine. We also have another brand that costs $40 more but this one works just as well. The only $40 difference is the NutriChef rigid straw vs flexible straw. Actually I don't see any difference between them. Too bad I didn't see this brand before ordering the more expensive model. The batteries were easy to install and so far have worked for all types of wine bottles we have. My only negative comment: I wish one of the two stars was a bit longer. We buy a 1.5 liter Christmas Zinfandel from the Ponte winery and the straw is too short for the size of the bottle.
