Extremely impressed with the image quality.

Bought this microscope to look at things my kids and I found in the yard. The lens with the lowest performance and the best illumination produces breathtaking images. The details are really hard to describe, we even saw a tiny live insect buried in the foxtail grass. Be sure to purchase the lighting version for the upper and lower stages. A few cons to mention: It's a manual stage, so it's a bit difficult to move samples around. Be very careful not to let the powerful lens collide with the slides. The collimator is flush with the stage, so I suspect it's very easy to scratch if you're not careful. I also want it to have an iris-like aperture (at this price point, that's probably not possible). Overall: For the price, this microscope is an incredible value. The resulting pictures left a real impression on all family members and made them want to do other things! This is a solid microscope that I definitely recommend buying.
