Well….I’ve loved my thorogood moc toes for about 3-4 years now at least. Gone through more than a few pair…typcially I get them resolved at east once and sometimes twice. The wedge does not last long at all. I wear out the outside rear hee quickly and generally 5-6 months is all I get if that. But….it’s a small price to pay for a boot that you love. But now it seems I have to find a different wedge boot….the insides just fall apart at the toe box. I’ve actually had a few toe issues because if it…,one resulting in a visit to an orthopedist and even antibiotics. The top edge of the plastic toe box (mind you these are moc toe and NOT safety toe, but they still have a plastic tow box to help the toe area keep form. I’m sure all brands have that) eventually wears through the thin fabric lining and began to irritate the top of my big toe. The last pair I literally ripped out the thin fabric lining and hacked at the plastic to remove the plastic. Looks like I’m going to have to do it to this pair as well. Can’t really see it in this pic…this is after I’ve ripped out the lining which was already failing. Gotta try to get that plastic out now too. At least the upper part. I honestly never knew a moc toe had a plastic lining not a fabric lining. Always though I was getting pure in lined leather.
