I bought the suitcase in March 2021 and was initially satisfied. The Fit wasn't the best case for my 2019 F250, but it wasn't the most expensive case either, so I adjusted my expectations accordingly. I live in Southern California so the main reason I bought it was sun damage. After about 4 months of use, I noticed a white powdery substance building up on the lid. At first I thought there must be dust and pollen in the air and thought nothing of it until the situation worsened. Upon closer inspection, I noticed it was coming from the lid itself. Not sure if this is some sort of sealer applied to the material to increase its water repellency but whatever it is it has come off in significant amounts as can be seen in the photos . Washing my truck is no easy task, so you can imagine my disappointment when I found that the coating itself was depositing this substance on the freshly washed surface. Kind of defeating the purpose of the cover, right? I'm not sure if my cover is an exception, but based on my experience I can't recommend this cover to anyone.
