Works well so far. Rubber feet keep the base securely on the countertop while kitchen knives are sharpened. The knives used for testing are an Ontario 1095 carbon steel kitchen set. The 400 grit side quickly removes material and provides a sharp edge. Side grind with 1000 grit to a razor sharp edge. Both abrasives leave a smooth surface that is easy to polish without leaving any traces of sanding. I will update in a few days after sharpening 3 sets of kitchen knives as well as my outdoor knives like my Esse 6P to give an idea of the durability of the product. Update: Product worn out after sharpening 2 sets of kitchen knives and 3 sets of camping knives.
