Review on 🌧️ Ivation 3,000 Sq. Ft Energy Star Dehumidifier: Efficient De-humidifier for Large Rooms and Basements with Continuous Drain Hose, Humidity Control, Auto Shutoff and Restart by Deron Altman

It works great but it literally comes with the worst instruction manual ever. There is virtually NO information on how to set it up. This problem really needs to be addressed. I bought this device because it got the best reviews from users. You'll need to buy a garden hose with a SMALL female ring on the end so it doesn't get in the way of placing the water container underneath if you plan to use it continuously. And you need to consider the placement carefully. If your hose is too long, it won't always empty, and the water tank will fill up anyway, and you'll end up emptying it. This isn't that big of a problem unless you have issues with moisture, which was the case to begin with. It's much drier now that the machine has been running in my basement for a week. The fan is quiet, the device is easy to move and place, and it's not that hard to figure out how to use the controls - but really - why not just have a good instruction manual? I'm not sure I would buy it again despite the good performance. The price was good. Looks good. UPDATE: I installed the device about 2" above some boards - and now it works fine in continuous mode. The hose drains well and the device drew a lot of water from it. If you have a longer drain hose, mount the unit higher - this will allow the hose and unit to drain properly (NOTE: this may be in the manual if you check it).
