Review on 💪 ASUS ROG Strix 1000W Gold PSU: Enhanced Cooling, Modular Cables, 10-Year Warranty by Larry Morris

I bought this product with SquareTrade Product Protection. I had to wait a month to get all my computer components to build from scratch as I really wanted to build something that would last a few years. I'm not a gamer who does overclocking and such, but I just wanted a decent photo editing device. When I finally started assembling my setup and plugging in the power supply, I found that upon arrival this product was not working and would not even boot. So I contacted SquareTrade to protect my purchase and they said I need to contact the manufacturer directly as it is DOA. So I figured why pay for product protection if you can't help. So lesson learned, SquareTrade doesn't really help with buying protection and I don't recommend it to anyone. So my next call was to call Asus, get an RMA, and send the product in for repair. After 3 days Asus says that even they can't figure out what's wrong with the device and they have to send me a new replacement. I was very appreciative and thanked as this is by no means a cheap power supply. However, after 5 business days and multiple calls, no one at Asus can tell me about a replacement or when a replacement will be shipped. It's been two weeks now and I'm just waiting for someone from Asus to reply and replace me. I've been an ASUS ROG fan for years and have always had ROG products, but I think this is the final straw and the last Asus product I will buy as a new ASUS ROG Maximus XI motherboard is for me too died, but that's another story. Sometimes it's not just about looks, it's about quality and support and unfortunately now I'm only calling to get something I paid good money for. So goodbye to ASUS and SquareTrade.
