I like it very much! Who knew you could love such a simple, useful everyday item. An almost overlooked plus point, because who needs to read the decanter instructions? Obviously I am lol! First, when pouring, I removed the metal lid insert instead of just gently touching it to pop the lid. The lid is almost imperceptibly open when you tilt it, but the drinks flow as if by magic, without dripping. And to my great surprise, it even works with drinks that contain chia seeds (those little seeds that are high in protein and nutrients that help you stay hydrated). My favorite drink is lemon or lime ada diluted about 1:4 in water and add a few tablespoons of chia seeds (no, I don't sell them). Shake while cooking and before serving. It is best to let it dissolve for a few hours before drinking. In any case, the carafe is handy, elegant and fits easily in the fridge. I like it so much that I'm buying a second one. Update, my second one has a lid that opens up significantly more when tilted than the first one I bought. So your lid may or may not be noticeably open when tilted. But both work great.
