I recently installed fiber and wanted to test the 2.5Gbps port on the modem. My computer hardware only has 1Gbps network adapters. With my adapters, I achieved download speeds of 940-960 Mbps (which is within the expected 4-6% overhead reduction for Gigabit Ethernet). So I thought I'd grab this adapter and see what speed I can get. Instead of 940-960 Mbit/s (or probably more, since I got 1.5 Gbit/s in the parallel test) I got 300 Mbit/s! After repeated testing, it went back into the return box. What a big disappointment!
