Finally working brake pads for my fat beast! We put her on our 2000 Excursion Diesel and hit the jackpot. These are now the only brake pads my husband will buy. We live in the mountains and in the curves, plus we regularly tow. Our coastal and mountain camping trips include more hills and curves. With OEM parts, we ate the brakes (pads, calipers and discs) every 12-18 months (12,000 miles). By using all Powerstop brake components we have increased this to 18-24 months (20,000). We then swapped out the powerstop pads for these green Hawk Performance pads (with red rotors and powerstop calipers). We finally found the RIGHT combination for heavy vehicles like the Excursion. The photo we've added shows these pads after 16 months of use. (We had to replace the front brakes because a sneaky, sticky caliper fried the left front.) The powerstop kit included pads, but we'll be back to those green Hawk Performance pads for sure in about 18 months. Try her. You will not regret it!
