The turtle immediately went to her rock to bask in the light when the new bulb was installed. I would say success. The lantern is approximately the size of a standard A19 or Par16 type with an E/26-E27 base. I have a lightbulb about 20 inches and it shines about 3 feet in diameter on the ground.
