This is a great mount if you want vertical movement. Almost endless movement, below are my comments and suggestions: 1. Avoid hardware that comes with the wall mount. It is of poor quality and will curl up making it difficult for you to pull it out. Purchase a 14.2.5" lag screw (hex) instead, which makes installation much easier.2. The pin you install becomes the center of the TV if you slide it all the way back, although you can place the TV on either side of it even if you lean it against the wall.3. Do not try to see how the up and down movement works, as this is not possible without a wall mount and TV connection.4. My TV didn't stay down and kept moving up. Using a large allen wrench, turn the nut clockwise literally 30-40 turns. Leave the TV mounted and feel the tension every few turns. Overall a good clamshell. I hope these tips help someone.
