These fit perfectly. My stereo's RCA cables are attached to the wall, wrapped around the door, and run straight to the speakers. I was able to place my subwoofer in a great spot that I certainly couldn't do without these brackets (if the cables are on the floor they can be tripped over - risk of personal injury / damage to the stereo). used about a dozen of these and there are TONS left. Now I'm going to start using them around the house. I hid a lot of wires/cables for security/convenience, but now I can organize everything in a much nicer way. must be done through drywall. For me, it will always be that way with nails and drywall. Gently tapping to drive them in is what I recommend for drywall. They are not difficult to remove from the drywall if you are careless. The same is probably true for the tree, but not at the same level. The fasteners don't screw anything into a permanently stationary spot where the cables can take a lot of shoving/take a lot of friction (a child could probably pull them out if left unattended and interested in learning about the clamps). It is important to carefully decide where to place them before using them. There is no lack of design; It's just important to be conscientious about planning ahead. I am very happy with it. While I still have a massive amount of these left (most of them), I would definitely buy them again if I had a situation where I needed their features in the future.
