After spending a lot of time increasing the correction level, we gave up and called. The book lists three levels of correction: shy, active, and hyperactive for more aggressive dogs. What the book doesn't tell you is that you need different collars for different levels. Even a shy collar is no longer sold. Comes with an active category collar. If your dog is very stubborn or aggressive, you will need a different collar to program the overfit. An active collar, although you can program up to 8, the highest level of correction is actually number 5. Above 5 is called progressive, whatever that means. I still don't know what that means. We also learned that sometimes you have to remove the device's cover to use the hold buttons. Although we received the kit just over a month ago, it has only been used for two weeks. When we found out the collar had an LED indicator, following the customer service instructions we were unable to get it to light up. Luckily we had already ordered replacement batteries and that's when the light came on. I think the battery was old when we received it. The manual is poorly written and really needs updating. Now that I've stopped grumbling, I want to tell you that I like the system. My friend had his own invisible fencing company a few years ago and thinks it's a good system. Simply updating the manual can significantly increase system owner satisfaction.
