The original filter has a bypass valve on the intake side which I didn't know about until I removed it and pressed lightly on the intake pipe with a small screwdriver and couldn't feel the spring release . Beck Arnley didn't have that. I installed it anyway because the old one was already gone, then I ordered the real one from Honda and changed it back. If the filter becomes clogged without a bypass valve, the transmission will overheat and fail. Only buy a Honda OEM for this part from the website or a Honda dealer to make sure it is not a fake as they all look the same from the outside.
