I'm using it as the main drive in the new stx system I've just built, the drive seems fast in tests and only seems fast in normal browsing etc .(This fast system but not built for gaming) I decided to transfer 200+ gigabytes from another SSD in the system and at first the write speed was over 400MB per second, then it slowed down to 200MB per second . a second then 100, 78, 36, 15 kb then 0 and sat there for about 5 seconds then it started transferring data again, it did this multiple times. I ran ATTO and it showed that the speeds were about as fast as a regular SATA SSD. I shut down the system, went into the BIOS and rebooted thinking it might have been something I changed, rebooted and went back to windows, ran a Black Magic Disk speed test, everything looked fine, speeds were where they should be 1540/1780 then I did an equally sized test on 200GB Plus and bam! THE SAME THING! Slowing down to zero and sitting down after about 5 seconds will start transmitting. Shut down the system, restart the system and the speed will be back to normal. I think their buffer cache is overflowing and this is causing the SSD to hang. Your results may differ from mine, try it and see. I am awaiting a response from Crucial as I have written to them asking if the hard drive is defective. I'll update this when I get a response from Crucial.
