UPDATE: The response from the supplier was prompt and a solution was agreed. Bought to slice an 8lb roast beef. First I had to cut the product into 4 parts because the whole product was too big for the food slicer. Second, I adjusted it to about 2 or 3mm to get a thin cut and it didn't happen. I had to adjust it as I cut to about 5-6mm to even get it to cut. After about 3 or 5 minutes of slicing, the machine started smelling like a burning engine like it was working too hard to slice the roast beef. I couldn't finish. I will adjust that. Too cheaply made with plastic parts.
