I've only been using this for a few days but am very happy so far. My new dog used to live in the country and never learned how to behave on a leash, so I wanted a leash a little longer than the 6ft I normally use for walking (I bought a 15ft) to give him something giving more freedom as it adapts to the urban environment. The rope is soft to the touch, lightweight, easy to coil and tangle-free. My only concern is how strong it will be in the long run as I heard something drawl today as my boy pulled hard today (at 78lbs he has LOTS of traction!) when he wanted I wanted to say hello to my brother, but I checked it out afterwards and everything seems fine. I also use it as an alternative to the vinyl coated cable I was about to use which gets very stiff in cold weather while this cable remains soft and flexible. This is not a rubber band but I only use it for short periods of time under supervision as it is too cold for cords, too cold for most dogs to take long walks. I'll probably buy the 50ft version to use for fetch at the park.
