quality lot!

I usually buy a spool of Kester solder, 66 core, .050" diameter which turns out to be the best on the market, but surprisingly this unbranded YIMIA solder is as good as most well known brands like Kester. One is slightly thinner (1mm vs. 1.27mm) than the Kester solder reel I usually buy, but in the electronics world. Antique Electronics Even with the Restriction on Hazardous Substances (ROHS) initiative, lead-free blah blah, whatever you want to call it, you still have to coat it with good ol' lead solder to desolder it. Designed for do-it-yourself DIY jobs and you don't need additional flux to solder. Diameter (1.0mm) is a good size for feeding solder into tighter spots where you need to pass solder. If you can get a diameter of (0.8mm) var In addition to what is sold here, you can get a soldering iron with an even thinner tip to work better with tiny SMD components on a PCB. But I find the 1.0mm core to be the best as it has enough rosin core to get the job done. TIP: Be careful. Always keep a fume hood on your workbench or some poor old man's desk fan that will suck dangerous fumes out of your face and nose when using lead solder and a rosin flux like the one detailed here. In general, the price is acceptable for the weight. solder you will get. Product rating with five stars!
