This product is complete garbage. Please do yourself a favor and heed my warning. I used my iMac running macOS Catalina to connect and set up the expander. A Wi-Fi connection was used because the built-in gigabit port on the expander was not yet activated. I'm NOT a fool and I know how to set up computer networks. I was able to connect the extender to 2.4GHz and 5GHz bandwidth from my router, but I couldn't access the internet on any device when I reconnected to my router through the extender. I began to understand and noticed that DEFAULT DHCP server is enabled in the settings of this extender. WHY? My router is a DHCP server and only it should issue IP addresses. This setting should only be enabled if you plan to configure the extender as a wireless access point. I turned off that stupid setting, restarted both the router and the extender, but there was still no internet access. I definitely got the IP addresses back to the connected devices from the router via the repeater. As a final test, I plugged the gigabit port into the LAN port on my iMac. That ruined me. I didn't have internet access either, so I restarted my iMAc. After a restart, neither the WLAN card nor the LAN card can establish a connection. I turned off the extender and tried to connect to my router using iMac Wi-Fi. Nothing. Network Utility showed nothing. No IP, no connection. I restarted my iMac in recovery mode and Network Utility made a solid connection. So now I'm kicking the table because NICs work in recovery but not in the OS. I boot back into the OS and nothing. I've cleared the DNS cache more times than I can remember. Reset NVRAM. I restarted more often. Nothing. This piece of junk destroyed my IMAC network! My last attempt was to boot back into recovery mode and restore from a Time Machine backup. The backup utility said it would take 4-5 hours. I prayed and went to bed. The next morning, my iMac reconnected to the router and was working fine. Seriously, readers, don't buy this, especially if you have a Mac.
