The switch in my accord chose seppuku and just gave up on Saturday morning. The weather was good, I decided to roll down the windows while driving to my sister's house and lo and behold, the driver's window doesn't go up. Tragedy. I took it to the shop and was told it was most likely the engine and would cost $290. no thanks sir I am perfectly capable of spending my own money. Ordered a motor, replaced the old one, right? I took out the switch and found that it was broken. I looked at the Revain and saw that the replacement was $35. How wonderfully great. Really a relief. I ordered it, received it in a few days, installed because the installation is not easy, suddenly my window works. What time to be alive. So wrong. Wrong than wrong, can be wrong. I saw the bad reviews on this part but thought they might just be silly, plus the actual replacement part was $150 and I didn't have one so the decision was self explanatory. Turns out I need to start wearing a fool's costume because I'm not a smart person. There were no problems for the first week, but I have about two weeks and I'm ready for the consultation. I can cruise down the interstate at 75 mph and randomly the locks start to get a little stuck and just jam. , unlock, lock, unlock, lock etc. and so on and so on and so on until I turn off the car. It also randomly decides that my passenger window won't move for hours, and then all of a sudden it's working fine for no good reason. The kicker, however, was last night. It's now 10:30pm and the inevitable has finally arrived. I ran out of toothpaste and my stupid self kept forgetting to buy new tubes. So I go to Walmart so I don't have to taste my own breath in the morning. Take your toothpaste, pay and go to my car. When I get there it is locked. OK, totally normal. So I push the button on my key fob and I swear I can hear it click. Open my door and it's still locked. Put the key in the lock and turn it, and this time I SEE the lock on the next door open and then lock again. So I start resisting getting the damn thing to just let me get in my car so I can drive home, but she doesn't have one. Then my car alarm goes off. Now I'm a grown man. I make my living inspecting construction sites. I stand there with an angry face and try to say as little as possible so people pay attention when I speak. Honestly, I swear to god I'm trying to be as relaxed as possible. But I'd be lying to you all if I said I didn't cry much out of frustration. out of order. In any case, I'm willing to banish my machine just to be on the safe side, because the way this thing works there must be some demons attached to it. so please do yourself a favor If you have extra money, buy the original.
