Good sun protection but not the best for swimming.
Fits true to size. I bought three, one for each of my boys. I think they are too loose to swim in. It would be nice to spend a day at the beach but my kids don't like swimming in it as it's not very narrow which limits them in the water. I'll say my kids are normal/skinny kids, so maybe that's part of the problem. They feel better with a fatter child.
