The paint didn't chip or scratch when I tightened it. Installation was easy, apply a little anti-seize lube to the threads and tighten! Be careful, they don't require a lot of brute force to get the right amount of torque. These bolts have a clean profile! I like the two-way versatility. You definitely get what you pay for!
