The Best Bolts Ever! best crankset

These are the best single sprocket bolts, period. They are well designed and built and serve their purpose perfectly. I would also like to see a two. You are so good.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

good quality as you would expect from a wolf tooth

While they seem great I have yet to give them more serious trail riding and will update the review if necessary. I love the fact that they use two different socket wrenches which makes them easy to tighten. Don't forget to use some screw lock. and did I mention they look good?

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Not all fit

Love them, very durable and high quality

I am very happy with them. I've been known to break LOTS of bike parts. I'm 6ft 5" and 270lbs and I ride his BMX, MTB or fixed gear a lot around town. And I'm always looking for the best and most durable parts. Smart and strong, these chainring bolts will help anyone stay tightened longer. Overall the looks are great, the design is great and the quality is great. We recommend.

  • Best in their niche

Solidly made and good looking

This sprocket bolt loosening/tightening set uses a hex wrench on both sides, making it very convenient and easy to install and remove. I'm upgrading my '92 Cannondale 7x3 drivetrain to an 11x1 system. On the original Shimano Deore LX 3-piece crankset, I removed the three chainrings and replaced them with a single Wolf Tool Drop Stop 36T chainring. Installing with Wolf Tooth screws took very little time compared to removing the original screws and washers. Be sure to lubricate the screw threads…

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • cable is shorter than other picks

Will not work with SRAM Hidden Bolt cranks

The bolts will not fit SRAM Hidden Bolt cranks that thread directly into one of the crank arms. I have a 2012 Red Exogram crank but there are many others with the same bolt. It's a waste of money on these cranks, and standard fasteners are better because they use larger hexes, so they're less likely to fray. The stock ones fit the 1x drivetrain, I just wanted shorter bolts so I didn't have to screw them in until now. Your rings work great, but these studs won't fit many of us.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small house

Wolf's Tooth: Connecting Rod

What can I say, those are wolf's teeth! Look no further! Those are decent screws, not cheap ones. Connected my sugino rd2s! The blue is very well anodized and matches my collar and headset. The paint didn't chip or scratch when I tightened it. Installation was easy, apply a little anti-seize lube to the threads and tighten! Be careful, they don't require a lot of brute force to get the right amount of torque. These bolts have a clean profile! I like the two-way versatility. You definitely get…

user error.? Attention buyers. maybe

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the terms "single chain" or "single ring" but these screws literally fell off during my short ownership. I used them on a 130BCD (SRAM S300) "tracked" system as I saw them in one of the other reviews. I figured they would work and look great doing it. And so it was. In two weeks. I found them to slowly loosen from vibration and I tightened them properly on my LBS and even they didn't mention any compatibility issues. However, I am very disappointed that I have…

Really light but poor quality design

I really wanted to like them considering they are almost $30 and have sprocket bolts. You look great. Something I found out about the double hex wrench design that I thought would make my life so much easier is that half the space that a wrench takes up in a traditional design is taken up by both. There is no large purchase on the key. This, combined with the fact that they are aluminum and tend to stick, prompted me to bend and warp the hex key. I tried to over-grease them and leave them as…
