Perfect for sourdough
I may be extraordinarily clumsy, but with the steep (stone) pitcher I found it impossible to serve the sourdough properly without first stirring it in the bowl and then pouring it back into the pitcher give. (Considering that, that's not really a problem π, but.) The mason jar's rounded sides make feeding mom much quicker and easier. It's also handy to have two if you have two types of snacks or want to keep a batch in the fridge.
