**Updated** While initially very pretty and easy to use, the batteries drain incredibly quickly. In less than 12 hours, they all visibly faded. All four strands do this, but one strand, green, stays bright a little longer. Using 12 batteries for pretty lights every day is out of the question. If you've been looking for good battery powered flashlights, look elsewhere! I bought two sets for four strings, but I only had enough batteries for the first two. The trees will look even better when I add the second strands! These are enchanting BRIGHT lights. I think it's a great price, long threads and the remote control is a nice touch. I didn't have to unravel them and they were very easy to put on. The wire is almost invisible but it keeps its shape so beautifully! I would definitely buy them again.
