Review on Adjustable Ankle Weights By Fragraim - Ideal For Women, Men, And Kids For Strength Training, Jogging, Gymnastics, Aerobics, And Physical Therapy With Adjustable Straps For Wrist/Leg/Arm by Joshua Donnis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I wear for pool exercise use, and they’re easy to adjust in the water

I use these light weights in a pool for added challenge in rehabilitating a total hip replacement. Our of the pool they feel like nothing, but while walking in the pool, they’re currently the perfect weight. I can wear them both on the surgical side for more of a challenge, or I can wear one one each leg for balance. They’re great for traction, which means taking one or both on the affected leg, hanging in a deeper corner of the pool using your arms on the edge of the pool or a ladder, and letting the weight gently stretch out the hip over at least 10-15 minutes. (This is a recommendation of my pool physical therapist.). I may eventually want heavier weights, but the price was reasonable enough that it doesn’t feel a burden to do this. I bought the package with two one-pound weights. They are reasonably easy to get on and off underwater with the Velcro strap, although they could be a little easier with a slightly better design — another loop to hold the Velcro strap and a slightly longer strap (I have thin legs). Putting them on poolside is fine, although if you’re early in a rehab, you might need a little help.

Pros
  • Wrist & Ankle Weights
Cons
  • The weights may cause discomfort during certain exercises that place pressure on the ankles, such as squats or lunges
