I bought this drive and it was easy to set up. There is nothing to set up. The drive is already set to RAID 0, which is what I wanted. For those of you who want RAID 1 or JBOD, all you have to do is connect the drive to your computer via THUNDERBOLT or USB 3.0, then go to their website and download the configurator in the DOWNLOAD section for that model. Once started, it gives you three options. RAID 0, RAID 1 and JOBD. It is, and I have no idea why some people write bad reviews about not being able to find one or the other. I even called customer service and spoke to a good customer service rep in less than 5 minutes who provided more information. So easy. People didn't report any noise or other things. The problem is that out of ignorance, some are always looking for a scapegoat and blame the manufacturer. I've bought many drives from G-Technology and none of them have failed. I bought a lot from bufallo and they all failed after 6-1 years. I ran a speed test on this drive in RAID 0 mode and got 425 Mbps read and 415 Mbps write. This model has a built-in raid chip and does not require software raid.
