Personally, I bought a mask for protection during lightsaber duels. Since the material was intended for paintball/airsoft, I was concerned that this material would not withstand a decent smack with a lightsaber. To tell the truth I was really impressed. The level of detail is excellent, the material is nice and solid; not give at all. Paintball enthusiasts can purchase additional eye protection as the mesh is thin enough to let some material through. Now let's turn to the elephant in the room. The mask presses so hard on the tip of the nose that it quickly becomes unacceptable. However, I did find that I glued 3 extra pads (I made it myself) on the chin and one on each cheek as close to the nose as possible. The chin pad can be thin (maybe 0.75 inch) but you'll have to research other sizes/placement yourself. In short, this is a very cool mask and it does its job well. in every way except 1: comfort. If you want to use it comfortably, which is absolutely necessary, you need a good strong adhesive and make the above adjustments. It might take some trial and error, but after some tweaking, my helmet is extremely comfortable and I'm not worried about the helmet hitting my face and my nose bleeding during a fight.
