Mauviel vs. Cuisinart

Ordered a Cuisinart casserole and a Mauviel M'Cook (both stainless steel, same shape). He examined them both carefully. Cuisinart is three-ply, Mauviel is five-ply, but the edges where you can see the ply are the same size. The Mauviel is stunningly beautiful and feels heavier, but I think that's just because there's so much stainless steel on the handles and it's a bit larger. After all, I've cooked on Cuisinart and for $50 I'm very happy with it. The Mauviel was $225 and I sent it back. I wish I could cook with both of them, but I promised myself that if Cuisinart doesn't work in a few months, I'll take a chance. It cost one star, but if you can afford it go for the Mauviel because it looks good and is comfortable to handle. Otherwise, Cusinart is the same, just no frills, and cooks really really well.
