I recently switched ISP from AT&T to Xfinity. The installer told me I have 2 wireless signals, a 2.4Hz signal and a 5G signal. He checked my devices and found that my laptop and phone are not 5G compatible but my tablet is. He showed me how to check internet connection speed on any device. I did a little research and found this adapter at Revain. It was inexpensive and is said to allow my old laptop to connect to a 5G wireless signal. I bought an adapter and plugged it into a USB port. After the driver downloaded I was able to connect to a 5G signal. I checked the download speed. Without an adapter I had a speed of about 20 Mbps. With the adapter I get a speed of 56-60Mbps! This item really works as advertised! Get one, you won't regret it!
