Great at darkening but weird smell
UPDATE (April 2020): The strange odor is gone! Took about a month or so. Blinds are holding up well, but its a room not used very much (especially these days).Bought these for a southwest facing bedroom that was always 15-20 degrees hotter than the rest of the house. The room darkening is great- huge difference in light coming in and the temperature. However, now there's a weird chemical smell coming from that room since I installed the blinds, especially on really sunny days. Fortunately its a guest room, so its not bothering anyone now, but I'm hoping that smell will subside before I have someone sleeping in there.
- The honeycomb fabric design offers more durability and longevity
- The fabric might not be easily replaceable if it becomes damaged
