Really great overall. Extremely easy way to connect 2 parts of my house via coax cable and get full gigabit speed. The only point: the Ethernet port on the device. It's finicky, especially with some of my stupid Netgear switches like the GS305 (tried 2 different switches, both v3) or the GS108. My two GoCoax devices just couldn't maintain a stable Ethernet connection with them. The switches were switched to managed Netgear on one side and SoHo TP-Link on the other, and the GoCoax devices were as happy as could be. The bottom line is that there is a bug and/or problem with the implementation of the IC and/or MAC and/or PHY in the Ethernet stack. I suspect that's why some people might not get the speeds they expected. Finally, why 1GbE and not 2.5GbE on the device to take full advantage of MoCA 2.5? I understand that 5 or 10GbE would make the device incredibly expensive, but Realtek makes very cheap 2.5GbE chips. I would be willing to pay $10-$20 more per unit if I could get 2.5GbE, just to say the least. Again, the lucky camper is here, so don't hesitate, but now you know what to look out for if your speeds aren't meeting your expectations (unless you've got a bunch of old splitters or crappy cables).
